'Close to Home' This mixed media painting began with one of my heavily textured acrylic paintings on canvas. It was photographed and brought it into my computer where additional layers were added. What can be seen between those thick impasto strokes is a body of water going off into the distance. A wide translucent brushstroke was painted across the bottom followed by a thick impasto layer of aqua and sea green now resting comfortably at the bottom of the painting. Some gestural scribbles were then added as a final whimsical touch.

Image size is 20x20 inch (50.8x50.8cm) Giclée print with 2 inch (5.08cm) border for framing on museum quality Epson Cold Press 340 gsm matte fine art paper. Signed, dated and numbered on the back of the print. Strictly limited to an edition of 5.
