About The Artwork

'The Summer Wind' is a textured acrylic painting on a 156 lb sheet of Arches hot press watercolour paper. It measures 19.7" x 14.4" with a 1" white border suitable for framing.

I often work intuitively and begin with random mark-making. This painting began this way as well. Several painting sessions followed adding lots of texture and creating some visual interest.followed. Lots of collage pieces have been added using cutout shapes from Arches watercolour paper. One of the collage pieces is of Andy Warhol snapping a polaroid while at the Whitehouse. This adds a lot of dimension and interest as well as strengthening the composition.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
