About The Artwork

'The Rooftops' This is a textured 24" x 36" acrylic abstract painted on a 3/4" deep standard canvas.

This painting began with a layer of brown paper collage covering most of the surface which created lots of interesting texture and lour.

A ridge of warm black acrylic was brushed on - I intuitively scumbled through the wet paint with a dry brush creating shapes - which were guided by the underlying textures.

Lots of creamy white acrylic was sculpted into interesting shapes and textures - and a soft glaze of sienna settled into the crevices.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
