About The Artwork

'Notes to Myself' This work was heavily influenced by the work of Cy Twombly.
In this digital painting I filled the canvas with spontaneous scribbles over a soft mottled background. I used a variety of digital tools including pens, brushes and pencils. Layer after layer I varied and broadened my strokes. Each layer affecting the one below. My design instincts then kicked in and I worked with colour and composition to create visual interest.

Image size is 19x24 inch (48.26x60.96cm) Giclée print with 2.5 inch (6.35cm) border for framing on museum quality Epson Cold Press 340 gsm matte fine art paper. Signed, dated and numbered on the back of the print. Strictly limited to an edition of 5.
