About The Artwork

'The Afterglow' I'm inspired by and truly love my digital tools. They offer me so many creative directions I can pursue. This digital painting began with a textured canvas layer which has remained visible through most of the subsequent layers - of which there were many. I added a variety of impasto strokes over soft muted shapes, lots of free flowing mark-making and a translucent glow of many fluorescent colours. I then added a bold graphic grid - and chose one rectangle and gave it a soft, warm glow. It's now still basking in the afterglow!

Image size is 20x20 inch (50.8x50.8cm) Giclée print with 2 inch (5.08cm) border for framing on museum quality Epson Cold Press 340 gsm matte fine art paper. Signed, dated and numbered on the back of the print. Strictly limited to an edition of 5.
