'A Point of View' This is a highly textured 12" x 12" acrylic abstract painted on a 1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas.

I often work intuitively and begin with random strokes and gestural mark-making. In this painting my initial marks and layers are hidden beneath many more layers. I came back to this painting many times, painting over layer after layer - and in the process I created amazing depth and impasto textures. These textures are an integral part of this painting. I am left with a painting with organic structure and sculptural interest.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting, signed on the back, is ready to hang with wire attached.
