About The Artwork

'ACROSS TOWN' is a textured acrylic painting on a 140 lb sheet of Arches Rough Press watercolour paper. It measures 29.75"w x 10.75"h and has a deckled 1/4" border. This will look good in a floating frame with the edges of the paper showing - or will also suit a matted frame.

This painting began with some loose non-objective marks. Lots more intuitive brushstrokes were added. Some were scumbled across the textured surface and others were thickly applied. I also scraped into areas of wet acrylic creating some hard-edged graphic shapes creating interest and harmony.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
