About The Artwork

Cy Twombly's expressive mark-making and Joan Miro's drawings are my influences here.

In "Brainstorm", I explore movement and emotion through a single sweeping curving line that anchors some spontaneous, energetic white scribbles. Working with acrylic on Arches watercolor paper, I layered soft grey washes and calligraphic gestures to create a sense of drifting thought and also control. It's my exploration of gesture, rhythm, and the spaces between.

The artwork is painted to the edges - and has one deckled edge at the bottom of the painting. It would look great in a floating frame where you can see the edges of this great paper - or it can also look great matted.

It is signed on the back, and will include a Letter of Authenticity.
