About The Artwork

'FRONT ROW SEAT' is a textured acrylic painting on a 140 lb sheet of Arches cold press watercolour paper. It measures 15,25"h x 19.25"w floating in the middle of a 16" x 20" sheet of Arches paper with deckled edges all around. It can be framed with a floating frame showing the deckled edges - or it will also look great in a matted frame.

I often work intuitively and begin with lots of random strokes and gestural mark-making. This painting began this way as well - but these marks are now completely hidden below several layers of impasto acrylic brushstrokes, paint splatters, drips and some asemic scribbles carved into the wet paint.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
