About The Artwork

Inspired by the gestural brushwork of Joan Mitchell and the dreamlike florals of Odilon Redon, "Gentle Light", an acrylic on canvas was painted intuitively, letting spontaneous translucent washes of violet, rose and pale yellow drift softly into one another.
Textured layers were added and scraped back, those soft transitions helped create a serene, dreamlike atmosphere, designed to comfort and uplift the viewer.

I want this painting to feel alive, ephemeral, and quietly luminous.

The edges are painted black, and a satin varnish protects against UV light.
