About The Artwork

'La Belle Fleur' is a textured 12" x 12" acrylic collage painted on a 1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas.

I often work intuitively and begin with random strokes and gestural mark-making. In this painting my initial marks are hidden between several layers of acrylic and cutouts of embedded collage. This has created lots of beautiful impasto textures suggesting a flower, a bird, a visual fantasy. These textures are an integral part of this painting.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.  It also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
