About The Artwork

'On Lacy Street' is a textured 12" x 12" acrylic abstract painted on a 1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas.

I often work intuitively and this began this way as well, without a clear direction. I began by creating a lively textured base, followed by some acrylic washes of colour. Translucent layers of vivid magenta, red and white were then added, and a cityscape began to emerge.
A final flick of my brush layed down some splashes of white paint bringing it all together, and adding some excitement in the air.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.  It also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
