About The Artwork

"UMBER SKY" is an atmospheric abstract acrylic painting on Arches cotton paper, influenced by the energetic marks of Cy Twombly, Franz Kline and Willem de Kooning.

I worked instinctively, using sweeping textured brushstrokes, drips, scribbles and splatters that collide and evolve across the surface. The minimal palette of deep umber tones, muted blacks and soft silhouettes of white create a sense of movement and quiet drama, resulting in a mysterious and emotionally charged composition. This expressive gestural artwork has a 1 1/2" border suitable for framing.

I want the viewer to feel the energy I felt while painting this modern painting, and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole. This small, contemporary piece of interior decor art would be perfect for adding a touch of moody abstraction to a small space.

This painting will be signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery. A Letter of Authenticity will be included.
