About The Artwork

'UPTOWN' is a textured acrylic painting on a 156 lb sheet of Arches hot press watercolour paper. It measures 19.5" x 19.5" with a 1/4" white border suitable for framing.

I often work intuitively and begin with random mark-making. This painting began with some intuitive scribbles and a black and white illustration of a fictional highrise building began to emerge from my marks. As it often happens - this painting evolved and several painting sessions followed building texture and lots of colourful visual interest.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.  It also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
