About The Artwork

'Black Pointy Hat' is a very textured 12"w x 12"h mixed media acrylic painting on a 3/4" deep cradled panel.

This painting began with some intuitive brushstrokes and random marks on a sheet of Arches heavy 140lb cotton watercolour paper. Several layers of acrylic were added, then sanded down in areas where there was texture, and followed with another layer of acrylic. This process revealed some of the underlying layers of colour and textured strokes - an integral part of this painting. I then mounted it to a cradled wooden panel.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.  It also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
