'Far Away So Close' is a textured 20"W x 16"H acrylic and oil painting on stretched canvas.

As I often do, I began this painting with some random mark-making and some loose gestural acrylic brushstrokes. Several painting sessions followed adding lots of colour and building up texture. I then added a layer of warmly tinted oil and cold wax over all, and carved into this with some asemic scribbles to strengthen the composition and create interest.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
