About The Artwork

'NEW DO' is a textured acrylic painting on a 140 lb sheet of Somerset Cold Press watercolour paper. It measures 6.75"w x 22"h and is painted to the edges of the paper with a deckled edge at the bottom. This will look good in a floating frame with the edges of the paper showing - or will also suit a matted frame.

This painting began with some loose non-objective mark making - and soon it evolved into a figure of a nude with her smile hidden under a swirl of textured acrylic.
As it often happens - I began this painting with abstract intentions but my random brushstrokes led me to discover this figure who just had to remain.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting is signed on the back and will be securely packaged and shipped in a box to ensure safe delivery.
