'Picture Window' This is a highly textured 20" x 16" acrylic abstract painted on a 1.5" deep gallery wrapped canvas.
I often work intuitively and begin with random strokes and gestural mark-making. This is how I began with this painting. Many subsequent layers were then added including a wide variety of impasto brushstrokes combined with soft glazes of colour.

I want the viewer to feel the energy and spontaneity I felt while painting this - and to enjoy the many small details as well as the whole.

This painting, signed on the back, is ready to hang with wire attached.
